July 2019 – Successful completion of internship and new commercial trainee
We congratulate Ms. Corina Moos on the completion of her internship at VITARIS AG. Over 12 months, she was able to help prepare our new website and shop, as well as supporting the Customer Service department. After the summer holidays, Ice Tomov will join us as a commercial trainee. The entire team wishes him a good start and an informative time with us.
May 2019 – Business continues to develop positively
The 2018 business year was once again a positive one for VITARIS AG. The team can look back on an increase in revenue compared to the previous year and a growing number of customers. Stable financial development, investments in infrastructure and staff, and careful cost planning have been the hallmark of the company for years.
March 2019 – New VITARIS AG website and shop
VITARIS AG’s new website and shop went online on 1 March after months of intensive preparation. In addition to structural improvements, customers can look forward to even more convenient and efficient order processing.
February 2019 – Distribution of industrial autoclaves in Switzerland
VITARIS AG can look back at decades of experience as the specialised supplier in Switzerland of lab and semi-industrial autoclaves from the manufacturer Fedegari. After being active as service partners for industrial autoclaves for years, the VITARIS AG team is now responsible for sales advice related to industrial autoclaves thanks to intensive weeks of training in the factory.
January 2019 – Exclusive distributor of HIMAC (HITACHI)
A year ago, we were able to sign a semi-exclusive distribution deal with the manufacturer Hitachi Koko for the sale and service of desktop centrifuges and ultracentrifuges. After a good and successful collaboration last year, we are happy to announce that VITARIS AG will be the exclusive distributor of HIMAC products in Switzerland from this year onward.
January 2019 – New FluidX point of contact in Switzerland
As a seasoned supplier of sample storage solutions, VITARIS AG will be the new point of contact for FluidX products in Switzerland as of 1 January 2019. As a result of Micronic’s direct sales strategy and the associated termination of our collaboration, we are able to offer our esteemed clients many Micronic items at great prices in addition to the attractive FluidX range of products.
December 2018 – VITARIS AG Christmas event
The starting point of VITARIS AG’s yearly Christmas event was Solheure Restaurant in Solothurn, a former abattoir located on the banks of the Aare River. After an aperitif, Ms. Marie-Christine Egger expertly guided us on a ghost walk through the most beautiful Baroque town in Switzerland. The entire team was treated to fine foods in a Christmas atmosphere afterwards in the former salting and storage house.
November 2018 – Cleanroom portfolio expanded with Nino Labinteriör
As a long-standing and competent supplier of biological safety cabinets from the Danish manufacturer Labogene in Switzerland, we are expanding our cleanroom portfolio together with the Swedish manufacturer Nino Labinteriör. Through a dual strategy on an exclusive basis, we will be able to fulfil individual cleanroom requirements even better in future and consolidate our market leadership in Switzerland.
October 2018 – Top rating for VITARIS AG once again
The D&B Rating Certificate is a symbol of quality for business and stands for reliability and stability. Only 2 per cent of Swiss companies meet the requirements of the D&B Rating Certificate. VITARIS AG was once again given “Rating 1” in 2018. This distinction confirms that VITARIS AG is a trustworthy and attractive business partner with a stable company situation and very good payment morale.
September 2018 – VITARIS AG Summer event
This year’s event took us to the beautiful Jura Mountains. In Saint-Ursanne, we were shown the rock laboratory run by swisstopo in Mont Terri. After a tour on a horse-drawn carriage in the afternoon, we proceeded to the starting point of our canoe tour. After the picturesque trip through the Doubs nature reserve, we rounded off the eventful day with fine food.
May 2018 - Gratifying business transaction
The 2017 business year shows a very positive development of VITARIS AG. A further increase in sales compared to the previous year has once again proved that the dealer strategy is highly valued by customers and suppliers.
April 2018 – Business Transfer CANDOR Bioscience
Effective April 1, Vitaris will take over the existing Candor Bioscience business in Switzerland. The exclusive distribution of buffers and solutions for various applications is underlined by competent advice and fast delivery times. In close cooperation with the manufacturer, we also offer our customers services in the field of assay development and optimisation.
February 2018 - Company anniversary 15 years VITARIS AG
Since the Management By-Out in 2003, Vitaris AG has continuously developed and was able to adapt to the changing needs of the life science market on an ongoing basis. We owe the resulting success over the years primarily to our esteemed clientele, a well-rehearsed and motivated team as well as the good and close relationship with our long-standing suppliers. On this occasion, Vitaris is inviting all of its employees to a ski and sled day and is giving all its customers a free and useful laboratory journal at the end of the year.
January 2018 - Optimised assortment with HITACHI centrifuges
Hitachi and Vitaris have signed a semi-exclusive agreement for the sale and service of desktop and ultracentrifuges. The long-term sale of centrifuges from previous brands as well as the service knowledge gained over time in combination with a globally well-established product range of this well-known manufacturer ensure that customers’ requirements are fully met.
December 2017 - Christmas party
The team met in Maur, a village on the beautifully situated Greifensee. The rustic Stallstube served us a fine aperitif and we then went on a torch hike on the snowy Wassberg. We were spoiled with culinary delights by the Landgasthof Wassberg and the final snowball fight was not only a lot of fun, but it helped us get a good night's sleep.
November 2017 - in-depth refrigeration expertise with FRIMED
As a licensed sales and service partner in Switzerland for Panasonic Biomedical and Nordic Lab products, we are now supplementing our range of refrigeration products on an exclusive basis with products from the Italian manufacturer FRIMED. The large range of reliable refrigerators for medicine and research is characterized by an excellent price to performance ratio.
October 2017 - complementary portfolio supplement with ACTINI
Effective October 1, 2017, VITARIS AG has entered into an exclusive sales partnership with the French manufacturer ACTINI. ACTINI offers a unique range of wastewater decontamination systems that are ideally suited for the closed environments of the BSL-1 to BSL-4 laboratories. As a longtime and experienced specialist dealer for sterilization equipment, we supplement our portfolio not only in a complementary way, but we also underline our range of innovative products.
September 2017 – Summer Event
This year's summer event has demanded a lot from our team. Canyoning in a ravine near Châteaux d'Oex required a lot of courage. So some employees have dared to jump into the cold water, which they probably would not have been able to do without team support. The day ended with a treasure hunt and the winning team received a fine bottle of rosé from the region.
July 2017 - Successful KV apprenticeship and new entry
Fatbardha Veseli has successfully completed the KV apprenticeship. A heartfelt congratulations was given by the whole team and they wished her much success as she continues to follow her path. As a teaching company and according to the motto, “We make professionals,” Robert Simoni has recently filled our vacant KV apprenticeship position. We wish him all the best with his training.
May 2017 - Good business results
After a very gratifying 2015 annual report, we are able to announce the highest annual sales since the founding of the company, despite the discontinuation of a product range as a result of direct sales by the manufacturer. Thanks to the various measures introduced, the processes in 2016 were not only improved, but also further adapted to customer requirements. Thanks to its niche market strategy and selective product portfolio, Vitaris was able to increase sales and finds itself in a stable and healthy financial situation.
December 2016 - Christmas party
The whole team gathered for a Christmas aperitif in the Biberburg in Hirschthal in the canton of Aargau. A location with a unique ambience where ecological sustainability is not a choice but a necessity. Afterwards at a fine gala dinner, we were charmed by the artists at the family-run circus restaurant GO.

The whole team can look back on a successful trade fair and an unforgettable evening with our suppliers at the "Blinde Kuh" restaurant.
May 2016 - successful financial statements
VITARIS AG can look back on a siginifcant revenue increase against previous year and it also has a healthy balance sheet. Thanks to additional personnel in the Service department, improved IT structure and optimisation of the company’s logistics processes, VITARIS will continue to be able to meet the rising demands of its customers in the future. It will in future also continue with its strategic alignment as a specialist in the three areas of Laboratory Equipment, Consumables and Technical Service.
April 2016 - Specific selection of Biotool Swiss products
From 1 April 2016 Vitaris AG will be offering a specific selection of products from the manufacturer BioTool Swiss AG. The existing product range of Vitaris is therefore being supplemented with innovative products, enabling us to offer customers an even better selection in certain product areas.
March 2016 - Private Vitaris label expands
The successfully launched and now well-established pipettor “Pipetgirl” (similar to “Pipetboy acu”), is now available in the colours red and blue, in addition to pink and lilac. At the same time, from 1 March 2016 the vacuum extraction systems LabSafe and LabSafe Plus (with level sensor) will be available with the accompanying adapters as private labels from Vitaris. Apart from the tried-and-tested features, pricing has also been included as a crucial argument for customers.
January 2016 - Exclusive sales agreement with Cellab
On 1 January 2016 the two companies Vitaris AG and Cellab GmbH entered into an exclusive agreement for the Swiss market. Cellab is an innovative company specialising in the development and production of hollow-fibre membrane systems. Together with Vitaris, which has many years of specialist experience with cell cultures and microbiology, customer requirements can now be met even better.
January 2016 - Sales and service agreement with Panasonic
On 1 January 2016 Vitaris took over all of Panasonic’s business from Labtec Services. We would therefore be happy to assist you as the contact for all sales and service issues within Switzerland. Many years of experience with ultralow freezers and CO2 incubators combined with the training of our sales and service personnel with the manufacturer ensure we have the required level of expertise you require.
December 2015 – Christmas event
Following a small aperitif at our business headquarters, we took to the ice in front of the KKL for some ice skating on the ice rink which looked like something from a fairy tale. We then enjoyed some fondue with different cheeses in the old town centre, followed by a nightcap in the Casino, paid for by the company thanks to the great strategic performance of the team.
December 2015 – new logistics partner, Interfracht AG
In order to improve the logistics support for customer needs in future even more, Vitaris has been relying on the services of a new logistics partner, Interfracht, since 1 December 2015. The project to relocate the warehouse from Münchenstein to Basel was completed in just three days after checking the inventory, which meant we were able to start deliveries to customers again, who had been informed in advance, without any delays.
November 2015 – software and hardware upgrade
Thanks to the swift and competent action from our IT managers and external partners, all licenses and workspaces were updated to Microsoft 365. The change during server migration ran just as smoothly, which means operative business was not interrupted at all.

September 2015 – company excursion
A special kind of nature and animal experience was waiting for us in the Diemtigtal regional nature park. Holding the reins of some lamas, we hiked through the wild and romantic mountain region. During the well-earned picnic, some even dared to take a dip in the cool but idyllic Seeberg Lake. During the second half of the day, we tested our agility on a stand up paddling board, or SUP for short, where no one remained dry. A tasty barbecue on the shores of Lake Thun was the perfect end to the day.
September 2015 – new member on the Board of Directors
With the appointment of Florian Riesen to the Board of Directors, the Finance and Administration sections are now in new and competent hands. As a senior manager, he will be directly responsible for the Finance, HR, IT and Administration departments.
September 2015 - Cooperation between iNLABTEC AG and VITARIS AG
iNLABTEC AG and VITARIS AG have decided to cooperate in the Swiss market from 1th September of 2015.
VITARIS will assume primarily responsibility for the Romandie and the Ticino but will also supply the German part of Switzerland, if desired by customers.
iNLABTEC AG and VITARIS AG are convinced that the cooperation will result in best customer support. Both companies have a high quality standard and strive for highest customer satisfaction in order to meet the demands of microbiological quality testing.

June 2015 – changes to management and ownership
Founding member and co-managing director, Marius Kleger, acquires all shares of Vitaris AG from his partner on June 1, 2015 and takes over the operative function as managing director, he is also directly responsible for the marketing department.
May 2015 – successful financial statements
The 12th financial statements are available. Compared to the previous year’s statements, Vitaris was able to increase sales and, thanks to its niche market strategy and selective product portfolio, is in a stable and healthy financial situation.
July 2013 – Distribution agreement with BINDER
BINDER products will be added to the existing product range of Vitaris. These high quality products are especially made for microbiology and cell culture labs. It's simply an ideal complement to our existing range. We may grant a competent service team as they get on-going trainings for installation, technical service and repair issues at manufacturer site.
July 2013 - Vitaris summer event
There were a few wanderer who were wondering, how effortless and fast we drove in greater area Murten. Thanks to our e-bikes not only our most sportive employees have reached the riverside of Schiffenen. During the water olympics all teams tried their best to win the games- it was a funny and wet event with a happy barbecue ending.
April 2013 - successful business year
It's already the 10th business report and again a successful year lies behind us. A solid financial development, investitions in infrastructure and in employees as well as a careful cost planning leaving a company mark since years. The result reflects a healthy balance and a debtless company.
January 2013 – Distribution Agreement with INTERSCIENCE
VITARIS extended their microbiology product range by adding INTERSCIENCE products made in France. Since 1979 INTERSCIENCE provide high quality products for microbiology and especially developed for quick and safe analysis in the area of quality control, starting with sample preparation all the way to colony counting.

Every year the VITARIS team takes a day off and explores Switzerland. This year a mountain guide led us over the ice of the Steingletscher on the Sustenpass; wonderful sunshine compensated us for the exertions.

September 2011 – company excursion
This year's motto was "fast and courageous" and brought the VITARIS team to top performances. In the morning the fastest kart driver in Wohlen was chosen and after a refreshment the highlight of the day was on the program. Following the example of the ski acrobat Sonny Schönbächler we ventured to the ski jump of Mettmenstetten. A day that left lasting memories and days of wound marks.
August 2011 - new commercial apprentice
Joël Landtwing from Baar began his three-year commercial apprenticeship with us on 8 August 2011. Joël will be employed in all departments of VITARIS during his training to acquire the commercial expertise. We welcome him to the team and wish him a satisfying and successful apprenticeship.
April 2011 - successful business deal
The constant growth could be continued and so the company closed the business year 2010 again with a pleasing balance sheet. By the personnel reinforcement of the service department and by lasting investments into the technical competence of all employees as well as the IT structure of the enterprise VITARIS becomes fair the further rising requirements of the customers also in the future. The strategic orientation as a specialist dealer with the three areas of laboratory equipment, consumables and technical service proves to be a model of success, which will be maintained in the future.
September 2010 - traditional staff excursion
This year's excursion led us into the floods of the Aare. The VITARIS team courageously jumped into the currents and fought and the coveted VITARIS-Aare-Trophy.
September 2010 - ILMAC in Basel
Once again VITARIS welcomed many customers and new visitors at its traditional stand, who informed themselves about the new products and also turned to culinary delights. We have had an extremely successful ILMAC - thank you very much for your visit.

VITARIS was also able to close the business year 2009 successfully. The concentration of forces and the focus on a clear and high-quality product range are having an effect. On January 3, 2010, the first SAP order left our warehouse. After several months of intensive preparation, SAP Business One was launched at the beginning of 2010. Our processes should become more efficient, clearer and simpler! Our customers will decide whether we have succeeded!
August 2009 - Staff excursion
This year's employee excursion took us to Central Switzerland. Coordination, strength and teamwork were required to bring together the most diverse skills of our employees to achieve our common goal. After the winning team was chosen, we ended the evening with a Asia cooking.
March 2009 - Successful business year 2008
VITARIS AG was also able to close the business year 2008 very successfully. The team can look back on a strong increase in sales, an increase in the number of customers and a gratifying 2008. Despite the economic crisis, VITARIS is convinced that it is well prepared for the coming years. The company has a stable financial base and solid financing.
September 2008 - Staff excursion
This year's employee excursion took us to the beautiful region of Berne. After an active participation in the Farmers Olympics we showed our skills in pasta production. The result was impressive; framed with a fine red wine, we enjoyed the home-made pasta on site.
February 2008 - 5 years VITARIS AG
Five years ago VITARIS AG emerged from INTEGRA Biosciences AG. The VITARIS team celebrated the company anniversary in the Engadine and demonstrated not only weatherproof skiing qualities but also kite surfing skills across the frozen St. Moritz Lake.
March 2008 - successful business deal
The 2007 financial year was also concluded with a considerable increase in sales. Even if the stronger euro exchange rate increased the purchase prices, VITARIS proved long-term stability and a healthy financial development since its foundation.

September 2007 - ILMAC 2007 in Basel
At this year's ILMAC in Basel, an extremely large number of visitors were inspired by new products and proven quality products. VITARIS once again welcomed its visitors in the "Roman" style, showed new products and proved that pudding can also be produced with the new media filling system from INTEGRA.
May 2007 - Agreement on the distribution of ScanLaf safety cabinets
VITARIS AG and ScanLaf A/S from Denmark sign an exclusive distribution agreement for the Swiss market. The Danish manufacturer has many years of product experience, since all employees worked in the original company Heto-Holten in Allerod. After Heto-Holten A/S was acquired by Thermo Scientific, the employees founded their own company with their own development and production.
March 2007 - Still very pleasing business development of VITARIS
The business results 2006 show a further very positive development of VITARIS AG. A significant increase in sales has once again proven that the specialist dealer strategy is appreciated by customers and suppliers.

The VITARIS team broke new ground on this year's employee excursion. Equipped with shuttle bikes, everyone enjoyed a wonderful summer day on and in the Aare.
March 2006 - Planned further development of VITARIS
Another successful business year lies behind VITARIS, all employees have worked with enthusiasm and great motivation on the further development of the company. The first appearance at ILMAC 2005 was enthusiastically received by customers. In the course of the year, new, high-quality brands were added to the sales network. The clear specialized dealer strategy, with orientation on good consultation and high supply readiness, finds with the VITARIS customers large approval.
January 2006 - Agreement for the distribution of ibidi Slides
ibidi® GmbH, Munich, develops and produces a "Lab-on-a-Slide®" system, so-called micro slides (µ slides), which serve for the analysis of cells and biomolecules. VITARIS and ibidi have signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Switzerland.
May 2005 - first appearance at ILMAC
VITARIS can look back on a very well attended fair in Basel. Hundreds of customers found time to visit the Roman-style VITARIS stand. The visitors were particularly interested in our innovations and innovative products and were able to convince themselves of the high quality on site.
December 2004 - Focusing
As part of the focus on the core business of laboratory equipment and consumables, the sale of the industrial autoclaves was transferred to Bomag AG, Burgdorf. Sales and service of Fedegari laboratory autoclaves (up to 240 litres volume) will continue to be handled by VITARIS and are not affected by this decision.
December 2003 - Completion of Corporate Identity
The first business year of VITARIS AG closes successfully. The company has developed the CI concept, which will be consistently implemented from 2004.
February 2003 - Foundation of VITARIS AG
The Swiss trading business of INTEGRA Biosciences AG will be transferred to members of the Management Board within the framework of a "management buyout". On March 1, 2003, the newly founded trading company VITARIS AG, headquartered in Baar/ZG, commences operations.
September 2002 - Reorganisation INTEGRA Biosciences Gruppe
The INTEGRA Biosciences Group decides on a strategic realignment and a concentration on the production and development of laboratory equipment in the field of cell culture and microbiology. Development, production, marketing and export are moved to the new headquarters in Chur.
2001 - Acquisition of Tecuria Engineering AG
The competence in the development area is massively strengthened by the takeover of the development company Tecuria Engineering AG Chur.
2000 - Acquisition of Micronic BV, Lelystad / Holland
Strategic decision to enter the growth market of Storage Systems and complete takeover of Micronic BV, Lelystad/Holland.
1999 - Acquisition of Petra Labortechnik AG
The production company in Chur is taken over in full. The production of small liquid handling and sterilization equipment is thus fully integrated into the Group.
1991 - Tecnomara becomes INTEGRA Biosciences
As part of the integration into the INTEGRA Holding Group, the name Tecnomara AG is discontinued. The company and its subsidiaries are now called INTEGRA Biosciences.
1986 - Takeover by INTEGRA Holding
The founding member Romano Citrini and the Fedegari brothers sell the shares of Tecnomara AG to INTEGRA Holding AG, Wallisellen, as part of the succession plan.
1977 - Entry Fedegari spa
Dr Gassler sells his shareholding to the Fedegari brothers and founds the Virion Institute, which becomes part of the Roche Group in 1989.
1965 - Foundation
Tecnomara AG was founded in Zurich as a trading company for the sale of laboratory equipment and consumables. Founding members are Romano Citrini, Dr. Viktor Gassler and Hans Eggenberger.
